Inertia Training

Inertia training exercises have the ability to influence neuromuscular education. With other exercises, the patient increases the weight or the tension in the exercise to increase muscular strength and performance. Inertia exercises reduce the weight in the exercise thus increasing the muscle power and performance. The neuromuscular system is able to adapt to higher levels of muscle contraction, coordination and reaction time. Inertia training removes gravity allowing the muscles to learn quick contractions without the damage of gravity. As coordination improves, weight is reduced allowing greater levels of acceleration. Greater levels of acceleration lead to greater coordination.
